After flirting with Comedy, Pawan is back to his forte - Action movies. This movie is supposed to be the one movie which Pawan is banking on , moreover it has his Hit director Karunakaran (Tholi Prema) back with him.
Can they relive to the name what they created last time, Will this movie meet its expectations.
The answer is partly yes and partly no.
Yet another Action movie of Hero having a disturbing past ( which has a first heroine and hero has a larger than life image )aping as a soft person and the second heroine happening to be a good listener of flashback and post flashback the problem solves.
Its time that viewers are given some reprieve of this often repeated formula.
Though one needs to admit that first half is entertaining and second half is backfiring.
The film starts off as a love story and ends up as action story..
If you still wanted to know the story fine, it is about an orphaned boy in Delhi who is being brought up by a Don and he grows to be a big time professional killer and he rescues a girl (why does a baddie do that – oh he is the hero), yeah you are right the first heroine who is attempting suicide and makes her change her mind with his pep talk and he becomes the man Friday for that girl and the girl adores him and slowly over man starts loving her.
Oh !, no ,Gods can’t forgive his bad deeds - so our girl witnesses a mass killing and torching of Ashram inmates and now Don wants to eliminate her and our man is chosen for the job and now our hero repents and tries to elope with the girl , only for the Don sending his hooligans to hunt both of them and in the due process first heroine dies (at Agra) leaving our man who is only injured a bit and now Heroine seeks her last wishes to be granted by our man and he promises her that by which he will restore her family living in Hyderabad, the land which is being encroached by a local goon and how he does that and in the meantime another heroine romances him and in the end how he has his final say against the Delhi don is the story about.
With this, I’ve broken my stance of not revealing the story in my review.
Story is as old as the Charminar Fort.
Now on to Credits,
Pawan Kalyan as usual steals the screen. Excellent in Body language, stunts, Dances and Dialogue Delivery , he infuses life to the film. Looks great in his much advertised designer jeans.
Shriya is the Second heroine and she does her job fine.
Neha Oberoi is the first heroine and has got looks of a stunner but her role is not etched proper , she tries to commit suicide first coz her family is no well placed but back home her family seems to be well placed – story writer answer pls, oh they are leading luxurious life amongst the consumer goods taken on installments ? and yes she does the rechristening of hero from Ghani to BALU-ABCDEFG ( and if you all wonder what is ABCDEFG about - it is A Boy Can Do Everything For Girl ! Sweet Acronym) hahahaha
Gulshan Grover plays the Dreaded Don but he is mostly seen at Streets , our great Street Don.
Jersey Singh in the role of Real Estate Broker is the second Villan.
Jayasudha plays the role of screen mother (Neha) limited to few scenes.
Suman as Neha’s father also has a limited footage.
Sunil too suffers the same fate as Pawan’s friend. So are Brahmanandam and Dharmavarapu.
Screenplay by Karunakaran is fine but Direction lacks the required punch, it is better that he sticks to his romantic genre of movies – action is not his forte.
Music by Mani Sharma is the another saving grace apart from Pawan . It is really Good.
Photography by Ramesh is good. Particularly in the songs ,Inte..Inte.. and “Accha Telugammi “
Art work by Anand Sai is excellent.
Dialogues by Kona Venkat are just okay.
Stunts are substandard though Pawan tries to infuse life with his acrobatism.
One the whole, it is a pure time pass movie - Thanks to Pawan Kalyan and Mani sharma.
Verdict : Time pass
Rating : 7.25 /10
