One more epic by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. H/e did it again. Like his other movies he had made an excellent picturization of each and every character. Movie is about one of the greatest warrior Bajerao who had found 144 battles for Shivajee and won all of them. He was having one wife Priyanka, and fall in love with another girl who is Deepika while fighting with Mughal emporer. Finally Bajerao got married to mastani urf deepika.
Mastani's father was Khatriya Hindu and mother was muslim. When Bajerao's mother came to know Mastani is muslim girl she started blaming and harashing Mastani. Even she tried killing mastani many a times. Finally at the end Son of Priyanka send mastani into prison and did not release her in spite of multiple order's from shivajee. Baajerao got mentally sick because mastani was placed in an unknown place and finally both of them Bajerao and Mastani got died on the same day.
The shooting of movie is really excellent including the forts, wars, dance performance, fort of the king etc. It brings in the history of India alive. The dance performance and music is very nice. Complete movie is dragged by Excellent performance by Deepika Padukone. Ranbir and Priyanka are no where near to her. Either as a lady or as a warrior Deepika proved she is still in the category of number one actress.
Movie shows a bitter truth about the upper caste who always plays caste based gambled and go to any extent including killing of a innocent girl on the name of religion. Mother of Bajerao placed her hate towards mastani till her death and do not even shows any kind of regret towards the innatural death of her son Bajerao.
People keep on asking for ban in movie, there are protest against the movie, but trust me there is nothing wrong in it towards any religion and a must watch movie to know how the misuse of caste and religion has taken away one of the greatest warrior from us and how we lost to mughal emporer.
