I do not own this bike yet.. but one of my friends have it.. to tell you the reality. The pictures do not do justice on this bike. The Bike is lot bigger than what it looks like in the pictures
Mileage:- This bike can give you 42-45KMPL in city traffic if ridden between 45-65..
However you won't be able to do that, because of the crispiness and the response you get when you twist the throttle.
Reliability:- Cannot comment on that as if now, as the bike is fairly new in the market and haven't seen anybody over the internet/ forums complaining about any kind of major issue.
Comfort:- that is there for sure.. un-like any other pulsars before the crouch sitting condition, this bike does not have that at all, you will have a upright sitting posture, even if you are short.. however.. people with less than 5.5ft height might face some difficulty because of this bike being tall and broad seats, but people above or equal 5.8 will enjoy riding this bike.. for countless Kilometers
Handling:- Because of the steel perimeter frame and the engine not being the stress member and being a naked bike type.. you sure get lots of confidence while cornering this bike over sharp turns and moves easily through traffic... best part of the bike though..
Looks:- People those who like the naked versions of the bike.. This is the right choice for them.. I love faired bikes.. but still I really liked this bike a lot... Looks better than Karizma ZMR..( that is my personal Opinion.. no offence against any karizma ZMR owner.. though Karzima ZMR is my fav.)
Pros:- This bike comes with 23 BHP (more than Pulsar 220).. Triple spark Plugs ( a patented technology by Bajaj) and Four Valves in the cylinder head. So imagine. 7 holes in the cylinder against 4 holes in twin spark Bike. Requires lot of engineering effort.
Not sure about the bikes reliability, since this bike is fairly new and Bajaj claiming about taking care of all the previous issues but cannot comment on it though. However the engine for sure is very smooth and refined.. (my observation). This bike comes with Liquid cooled engine which was mandate due to high RPM and being a low stroke engine. Otherwise the bike would have faced a lot of problems. Bike also comes with a 6 speed gears which the 6th gear helps a lot on long rides with this kind of bike. So you can cruse on 80-100 constantly without stressing the bikes engine.
Cons:- On some parts. the plastic quality of the bike feels cheap.. like the front mudguard.. Side panels on the tank etc..
What this bike lacks:- This bike should have included a FI system, I know that would increase the price.. but it would make this bike un-beatable. The stock horn on this bike does not feel enough..
Overall:- This bike has lot of grunt and anger. It would want the rider to leave behind and move ahead at any gear. People who love pick up. Will surely love this bike. There are still some areas of improvement ( that is always there with any bike), since no bike can be perfect.
If reliability of the bike is your primary concern, would suggest to wait for some time and check out how this bike works out.. If already know about pulsar and a pulsar fan?? very good bike.. lot better than any of it previous siblings sounds lot better. Bajaj has surely done a lot of homework on this bike.
Finally I can be proud to say.. in India.. We have pulsar 200ns, which can compete any 200 CC segment bike in the world..
