The bajaj caliber was graded ALL IN ONE BIKE when it was launched few years ago,but the caliber wasn't king in all trades but the few features it excelled in was power,styling and fuel economy.Now a competition has caught up in form of hero honda passion,tvs victor etc.This were reasons for bajaj auto to upgrade its popular model.The all new caliber 115 is launched with its good publicity in media with lot of exitement.Coming to the looks this bike looks different from its predecessor.A large clear lens headlamps dominates front end,the headlamps itself gives caliber 115 a new look.the colour of bike is too impressive.The fuel tank is same as previous caliber.The biggest change is the engine.The engine produces 9.5bhp up from 7.7 bhp of older caliber.I have just drived this product for about 400 kms and I am amazed with its pick up it revs from 0-60kph in just 8 secs,the top speed I touched was 90kph in 15 secs.Riding this bike is relatively smooth thanks to wide zapper tyres and change in shock absorber which makes ride comfortable even on bad roads.the fuel economy is pretty impressive I got about 70 km/lit,only problem I faced with this bike is gearbox the gear is not too smooth and another point is lack of disc brake bajaj should have attention on it.
This new baby has taken calibers case forward and faces tough competition with splendor,passion,ambition and victor but this bike seems to score over its competitors in areas such as looks,performance and ride.The caliber is a problem-free bike and comes across Rs 43,000 tag which gives bang to your pocket.If anyone is looking for a all rounder bike I can say to have 115.So go ahead have the one.
