I bought this bike in April.. Did not want to write a review until the bike was completely tested in the real world conditions.. I will not write the specifications.. that you can find it anywhere on the internet..

I bought this bike with a comfortable and low maintenance bike in mind.. As bullet being my past.. I did not want to compromise on the comfort of the bike.. in total.. I wanted a Cruiser bike.. and did not want to buy Bullet..

So.. the only budget option was to go for Avenger.

I bought this bike in April 2013. Well.. First Bajaj Bike.. Initially I was not a very big fan of bajaj bikes.. but after buying this bike..my perception about Bajaj bike has changed.

I think that there is a mis-conception about Bajaj bikes in the market that they are not re-liable...

After buying this bike.. before 1st service.. I checked the bike.. it was giving me 41kmpl.. and still till date.. even after 3rd service.. I am getting 43kmpl in Bangalore City (those not from Bangalore.. can't even imagine the traffic that we have here.. we give a tough fight to mumbai.. ha ha)..

I started to follow the motoman's bike engine break-in technique.. which actually gave me very good results.. after the Engine break-in was complete (around 1500kms).. I had planned to go a long drive.. so did I.. I went on a 1500 Km drive solo covering South West and western ghats of India.. Boy.. a trip that was..  you can find the further details of the trip here:

https://xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/26311-1427-kms-trip-solo-avenger-south-west-ind
ia.html

And I tired and tested the bike fully.. at the max I could do was 120 KMpH (considering im a heavy 95kgs person.. and the traffic).. and the ride was really enjoyable.. as the bike did not give me even one issue during the complete ride..

I drove it in Hot weather.. Dusty.. Muddy, rainy and cold weather..and constantly at high speeds (100-110)  but.. It just performed flawlessly..and .. I did not have any back pain issues as well..

The only modification I have done is to make a seat little wider so that my butts can fit in easily or to make ride more comfortable..

This has been a complete blessing to my family of two other members with me.. we can easily fit in and move around in the traffic for long hours..

After the second Service I had Synthetic oil in mind for next engine oil change.. so couple of weeks ago.. when I went for the service..I used Motul 300V fully Sythentic 15w50 oil.. One unit of Oil costed me 930/- which is of 1.05 liter each.. but the bike uses 1.20 ltrs..

So I had to buy two units for the first time.. Its been two and half weeks now after the Third service.. The bike has performed never better.

All the vibrations.. jerks have gone in very slow speeds.. Bike has become super smooth.. Bike has become little bit more quiet.

Here are some of my observations about the bike.

-> People who say that the Bike tends to slip while breaking.. I think..either they are not using the breaks correctly... or the tyre pressure is wrong.. Since this is a long bike.. We need to use both of the breaks together..in the correct proportion.. and the tyre pressure needs to be 22 front and 26 rear..  For me it has never slipped even in many panic situations..

-> Currently I am getting 43kmpl in city traffic.. highway it reduces as we tend to drive it on high speed.

-> bike has enough power till 80KMpH but after that it starts to show the lack of power.

-> Vibrations start coming in after 80Kmph but its nothing that cannot be ignored.. however.. after 100.. the objects in rear view mirror becomes very difficult to see because of vibrations. (did not try it after putting Synthetic oil..).

-> I used to get some rattling noise from the chain due to the chain cover.. But did some DIY on chain cover and that has gone now... and yes. chain cover is very cheap plastic quality.

-> this bike is mostly metal.. so its a heavy bike..  but it fits on the person of any height.. I'm 6.1 ft tall.. works perfectly fine for me.

-> apart from that.. there is nothing else I can think of.. but it puts smile on my face every time I ride it and there is a short video review that I have posted on YouTube..

Update after long drive with Motul 300V engine oil

I recently went on a long drive after putting Motul 300V fully synth. 15w50 oil in the bike..

There were no vibrations in the bike till 95KMpH and after that I could feel it only at foot pegs...

The bike never sounded harsh till 110KMpH.. even after constant 200Km drive.. the bike was butter smooth..  will continue to use the same oil in future.
