Excellent one. Review on Bajaj Avenger 220

I am owning avenger 220 since august 2011. Enjoyable to drive, good control at high speed, reasonable mileage[initially 35kmpl, now after 6000 km I am getting 43], good look. I am travelling daily around 50 km in this. very very comfortable to drive. After stickering wind-shield, it has a great look, that u can see in the image attached. only problem is that only few persons are trained to service this in service station. Broad rear tyre reduce the chance of skidding. one main thing is that 'single hand'. I am only driving this since I bought except few kms of test drive of some friends. Good maintenance is must. Initially I had oil leak, which was corrected in service center once I diagnosed it.

Many owners complaints is petrol leak from tank lid if we fill full tank and put side stand. Except these small small complaints this bike is wonderful to drive and u will forget all these complaints while driving and feel heavenly and god like. While I am driving my bike many guys, children and girls also are sighting. we will feel like flying while all these are happening. Its performance will be very good if do frequent chain lubrication[every 1500 to 2000km], burdh oil for extra lubrication, water service, waxing, teflon. And you will feel the difference in sound and smoothness of the bike after chain lubrication. And its advisable to use prescribed oil[bajaj 10000 20w50].
