My family bought the home insurance. We had a theft at home while we were away. Below is the experience:
1. First I emailed to register a claim on the email address provided on the top of the website next to WhatsApp chat - No response even after 7-8 days.
2. Went to WhatsApp chat - First, a bot connected. It's not that good bot. Finally, when connected to the agent, They said call the number in order to register the claim.
3. Tried calling multiple times 5 times but was not able to get in touch. The call put me on hold for 10-15 mins so I disconnected each time.
4. Finally, I decided to do it online. The weblink didn't work for home insurance. It got stuck at second page after entering Mobile/Email address, where you have to choose the Claim Type. The claim type was not displaying so it could not be selected and hence cannot proceed.
5. Then I went to WhatsApp chat to ask for some other link. They provided me Commercial Claim Link, that commercial link was stuck at 3rd Page where you have to enter the address and the state and city could not be selected.
6. So went back to WhatsApp and they said to call them.
7. Finally, after 4-5 tries, one got disconnected during hold. One got disconnected while put on hold, I was able to go through the process.
8. The customer executive provided me an INT number called claim reference number. The executive said, you will get the SMS/EMAIL and then click on the link there and upload the documents.
9. When I clicked, and tried to upload documents, it asks me Policy Number and OC Claim number and that INT number is not the claim number. So I cannot upload the documents.
10. Now again I have to call the customer executive.
11. First time I was angry and said "What is this stupidity, this is not my job to keep calling you and chase you just to get a claim number, this is done to game the people. Just take this INT number, you will get all the information from there and provide me an OC claim number". As my voice is with anger, the agent cancelled my call.
12. Second time, I was patient and this time, I went through all the process again and the agent said I am reviewing your INT number and it will take me time so hold me for 1 minute, the call cancelled.
It is a fraud company. If it is not registering a claim number, it's logical and circumstantial evidence that it is gaming the people. They save money on claims and surveyors by creating a process and hanging calls just before some registrations or while talking to customer executives so that they are in grey area legally.
