Well when you come out of theatre watching the movie the thing that haunts you most is who is right, who is wrong. Because at the end of it the thin line between the protoganist and antagonist vanishes.

It is said that revenge is best when served cold. And the protoganist of the movie Raghav does that exactly. But what after revenge. Is taking law into one's hands the best revenge. Is living a solitude life just to take revenge the best option in life.

Yes justice is needed. But do we need revenge. The movie categorically address this issue with the life of protoganist Raghav. Yes he is a bereaved man losing his wife and child to petty criminals. But then was it right to close his life for 15 years with the only aim of taking revenge. Could he have supported the law in closing the case.

When the protoganist falls in the pits of revenge we see the  antagonist wanting to have a go at life. In jail he wants to escape to live the life. And once outside though he knows he is dying he tries to live every moment. Yes we can say the antagonist is not repenting, but at every point he is choosing life, whereas the protagonist chooses to live in self made jail facing away from life.

In the end actually we see the antagonist winning maybe because he respected life more than the protagonist. Maybe because he thought his act will make the protagonist face life than self imposed jail. And yes in the end you feel for both of them. Situations created them and each man dealt with the situation in a different way.

What raises the film from medicore is the excellent direction of Sriram Raghavan and career best performance of Varun Dhawan with another superlative performance by Nawazuddin Siddique. He breathes life into Laika, a man undaunted by circumstances just want to live life to the fullest. It is definitely worth a watch but mind you it is harsh and you really need to observe it to understand it
