I have been hearing a lot about bademiya from my childhood days.Born and brought up in Mumbai I never got a chance to visit this eatery in my childhood days.Recently a few days ago in the month of ramadan our friends decided to visit this place.
Location:
It is situated in colaba almost near gateway of India. So you can easily reach here.As I am having a car we went there by car.
If you own a good SUV or sedan it will little tough to find the parking space. As bademiya does not have a reserved or valet parking available.
Best time to visit:
You can visit here almost anytime of year. The place is charming throughout whole year.
If you are on long drive at night in Mumbai somewhere in south Mumbai and if you cant find any restaurant or eatery
bademiya will always be there for you.It is open till 3am late night. And I think its the only eatery in Mumbai which remains open so late.
My suggestion is you visit here after sunset.
Menu:
The menu has really a wide variety of dishes. The menu is divided into two sections one for chicken lovers and the other one for beef lovers. We ordered dishes from both the sections.
Ordering time:
It depends on the day and time you visit. We had reached here around 1 am in night and ordered immediately as we were familiar with the menu still we have to wait around 20 mins for the food to finally arrive.I think the order time is very fast as compared to amount of the crowd that had came.
Food:
We had ordered 2 Butter chicken 2 Mutton bhuna 2 Chicken tikka and 4 Rumali roti.
The food was burning hot and was really well cooked.
Now lets get to the taste.
Butter chicken:
Believe me I haven't eaten a butter chicken as good as here.It was mild spicy and the perfect combination of Indian spices with chicken and butter made it perfect .Oil was also very less and overall it was the best butter chicken I have ate.I would give 5/5
Mutton bhuna:
Again it was almost as good in taste as butter chicken. The mutton was really fresh which made me very happy. I have eaten across various restaurants in Mumbai they don't serve so fresh beef but in bademiya you will always get the fresh beef. Again 5/5
Chicken tikka:
Very well cooked and very well prepared .No so different but still worthy for a try.
4/5 for making the tikka well balance spicy.
Rumali roti.
I bet you eat this.If you have visited bademiya and haven't eaten rumali roti then I believe you disrespected this place.
Value for money:
Little high.We were 6 and it was around 2k and I believe if you are seriously are a non veg lover this place is heaven and a must try if you stay in Mumbai or you are about to travel here.
