Trip to Uttarakhand
9 terrible days
Day 1:
Briefing was given to wear a helmet and nothing else. The journey started was led by so-called ROAD CAPTAIN KARAN who neither knows to lead nor knows to guide Rishikesh from Delhi 250kms which was supposed take 7 hours but by the confusion caused by Karan made us ready by 9 PM.
Day 2: Ride to Chopta
Some of the bikes already started showing issues which were then neglected, Chopta was hilltop (I hope the captain knew it) but he neither took care to leave early nor warn the team regarding it. We reached Chopta in pitch dark roads, freezing cold (cold is not a problem the not knowing the address) he is one kind of ixxxx. Bikes still had issues no one bothered to fix them
Every day delay because of bike issues.
Day 3: Joshimath
Again the same delay, we need to ask for time, tell him to leave early, tell him to lead the group properly. Unorganized unprofessional and lazy. Reaching the hotel by 6-7 because of delays out of 7 bikes only 2 were proper. The back up vehicle is not equipped.
Day 4/5:
Again he knew there would be black ice and we need to come early neither he took care of starting early not asking people to be ready.
No leadership quality I wonder why he was hired. We started from the hotel to Auli, 5 kms to Joshimath. Karan decides that it’s not safe to go up.
HE DOESN'T WANT TO RESPONSIBLE. And tells it’s YOUR CALL. It caused us (as a group) so much anxiety. I would tell the next 100 people not to travel with BACKPACK PLAN. This was one of the amazing ride if the co-riders with us were not ready to take intiative then one place from the trip would have gone for nothing and to tell you guys, going and coming back was absolutely safe. May be Karan wanted to safe some time and sleep in his room.
Day 6: Kausani
Bikes went worst, Co-riders were facing hell every day, the roads were not good, I meant to tell that we need to take necessary steps accordingly, being with an ixxxx captain it was not possible. Our teammates 2 people who took all initiative to ride safely.
Then comes Karan who advises them BACK UP WILL TAKECARE. There is this back up vehicle driver who is also mechanic .. if some one is injured on road who is going to ride bike and back up vehicle!! No common sense I wonder how they have such good Instagram and Facebook page only social media marketing never helps.
Guys, please wake up..
People come to enjoy bike rides not stand and wait for the bike to regain its form.
Day 7: Munsyari
Karan upfront tells people it’s not safe to ride and it’s your call whether to go or not.
Why on earth was it there on the itinerary If back pack clan knew it’s not safe?
Do you guys want to save fuel and room rent? Have some basic etiquettes.
As a captain he should not let the group spilit. We were divided into two halves one with a useless backup, a brainless captain and other groups without those both.
Anyways it doesn’t make a difference Karan was there or not.
Day 8: Binsar
He himself was riding a handicap bike and racing on roads instead of helping the team. Entire trip we used GPS to travel. If this was the case why book a travels. Is it only for luggage???
Day 9: Jim Corbett
He promised a resort and gave us a hotel where only the name had a resort.
Just because there were voices the hotel got shifted at 9:30, I came to Delhi from Jim Corbett on my own fear of missing the flight due to his negligence. The same thing that I presumed happened and 2 teammates missed their flight.
On a conclusion note
Mismanagement, unprofessional and. Bunch of ixxxxx.
Please don’t trust these guys and waste the money and time, they have taken a security deposit of 10, 000/- and have not returned yet. Now they are asking what was the mode of transfer done.
Backpack clan if you really ethics please return back my money.
