My take on ?Baby - Though the review comes 5days late, I thought of sharing it nonetheless grin emoticon. Honestly, I have become a big fan of Neeraj Pandey. First ?"A Wednesday?" followed by "?Special 26?" and now Baby.

Baby like his earlier filmsis not the quintessential bollywood film, however, the nuances of the direction, content and getting the best out of the actors is captured with precision and panache for which Neeraj Pandey is known. Though its almost a 3hr film, 2hr40mins to be precise, there is not a single dull moment. Having said that, it is a fast paced film flavoured with nail-biting moments, sprinkling of crude & raw humor and a dash of light-hearted emotional moments.

Barring Akshay Kumar who is omnipresent, given the fact that he is the main guy, all the other actors be it Danny Dengzongpa, Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubati, Kay Kay Menon, Tapsee Pannu and others, though are more like special appearence with not more than 2 or 3 scenes, have done full justice to the role they essayed and are an integral part interwoven in the story. Nowhere will you feel that the story could have been made without one of the characters.

Coming to the story, like a typical Neeraj Pandey film, Baby also, is loosely based on a real-life character; "Syed Salahudeen" of pakistan.

I am not quite sure if this movie has appealed to the masses, coz as I said earlier, its not a typical bollywood masala movie with songs and steamy scenes etc. This is film which is driven by content, acting and most importantly the direction.

So if you are of the opinion of "quality over quantity", Baby is for you and I would strongly recommend to go and watch. In terms of ratings, I would give Baby 4.5/5.

A Highly Recommended Film in my review-meter.
