I have always a private bank phobia and never intended to open an account in such banks. But being an employer of an institute I had to open an salary account offered by it.
Being a salary account it is said that it is 0 balance account but the services are also 0.
When they opened the account they took all the details including the documents from us like Aadhar card an all. but still after opening an account I had to do Aadhar linking and mobile number linking manually and once had to go to the branch to submit the application.
Phone banking: They did attached my mobile number but partially and they were not allowing phone banking. So I again had to visit the branch and needed to go through the procedure which should have been done during the account opening itself.
ATM availability: The number of ATV are far less than the branches. mostly available at their branches. Even SBI has more ATMs than Axis. If there are ATMs then there is no cash or the ATM is out of order. I have seen many ATMs without any guards. Being a female I am always in fear of being misbehaved.
Internet Banking: This is the only facility that worked right from the beginning. and gives almost access to my account. Easy to transfer money and other services. but the account logs out many times when in the middle of the use.
Customer Service: This is the most pathetic part of you experience.
The staff is not courteous, never gives any answer. I have a loan account and on asking the detials they provide nothing in the name of information. Sir we don't have that information. This is the most common sentence used. The interest rates are also not that lucrative.
I will prefer nationalized banks like SBI any day over such private sector banks.
