About three years ago, the skin on my face began to turn blotchy. I am fairly light-skinned, so when the darker colored blotches began showing up, they are very noticeable. I've even had a couple of people ask if they were birthmarks.
I've tried everything I could think of, short of going to a dermotologist, and nothing has worked. Fade creams and skin bleachers have no affect.
I was encouraged when I saw the commercial for Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Moisturizer. I have tried other Aveeno products and they have been wonderful!
It is made with soy extracts, and vitamins A and C. In addition to a moisturizer, it is supposed to even out your skin tone, improve your skin texture, and brighten dull looking skin.
The product was quite pricey, around $17.00 for a small 1 ounce tube. After debating for a couple of weeks whether to spend the money, I decided to just go for it, and buy it.
I should have kept my money in my pocket.
It is very easy to use. After washing your face, you pat it dry and apply a small amount over your face and neck. Instuctions warn that it could cause mild tingling, but I didn't experience this.
The bottom line is, it didn't work. After using this product for a month, I cannot tell one single bit of difference in my skin, and the blotches are still there, as prominent as ever.
It is a decent moisturizer, but I've used better, and less expensive products for this purpose. I don't recommend this product at all.
