AudioCatalyst rips and encodes digital music from CDs.The XingMP3 Encoder engine encodes the music digitally, which enables you to make perfect copies of the original sound tracks as smaller sized MP3 or WAV files. AudioCatalyst can also automatically normalize the music and delete silence from the start and end of tracks.
AudioCatalyst now comes with the XingMP3 Player. The XingMP3 Player provides full MP3 playback capabilities
Its all ver simple. Take your favorite CD, pop it into your CD-ROM, choose the tracks you want to rip by selecting the check box next to the track names and click the Grab button.
The trial version of AudioCatalyst has certain restrictions, WAV files from the hard drive cannot be encoded to MP3, only randomly selected tracks can be encoded, and tracks can only be encoded at 128 kbps. In order to use these functions. you hav to buy audioCatalyst for $29.95.
AudioCatalyst is easy to use and fast. Although it only picks random tracks, if you just keep opening and closing the program, you can eventually get all the songs off a CD. In terms of quality, this is definately the best mp3 encoder
