My experience with Au Bank is terrible.
One known employee of this bank Mr. Mohtasim approached me about 20 days ago and told me about betterness of this bank, insisting to open an account. He said for senior citizens like me, this bank serves much better than any other bank. He told me that there will be no extra charge for credit and debit cards as they are provided free of cost.
Knowing about the benefits told by him, I opened the account depositing Rs. 25000/-.
The 3rd day, I received the kit with a debit card for which more than Rs. 150/- were charged.
When I asked Mr. Mohtasim about this deduction, he told me that he will get it removed soon. I had while opening the account also applied for a credit card too. The very next day, I got a phone call, a lady told me that since my credit score is less to give me a credit card. When asked by me about my credit score, she said it is confidential and can't disclose my credit score. Necessary to mention that my credit score is almost 9 which is treated as the best one.
Again the next day a phone call I received. A lady talking again told me that, do you know that in lieu of debit card you shall be charged Rs 250/- + Taxes? I told her that I was never told by the bank authority about it and if I knew that, I would never been opened any account with AU BANK . I asked her to close the bank account immediately. She told me to contact with the Manager of Indirapuram Ghaziabad Branch of AU BANK for closing it.
Next day again I got a call from the Manager of Indirapuram branch asking me to reach Au Bank Indirapuram Ghaziabad to close the account.
Within 15 minutes, I reached there and went to Reception. A man was sitting there along with 2 females having a chat and laugh together. I asked him to give me a form to close the bank account. That person rudely responded, asked me to sit on the chairs lying in bank. I along with 2-3 other person keep on waiting for about 40 minutes but in vain. I again went to Reception about that form. The reception man again behaved rudely, almost shouting that I asked you to sit there. Cant you wait for few minutes? I felt very much maligned and called on phone to the person who called to reach in bank.
To my luck, he responded and called me to his seat. He helped me a lot to close the account. After 3-4 days I received the DD of my amount but in about 150/- Rs less. No interest was paid by the bank to me for keeping my money for about 10 days.
All the episodes clearly indicate that the so-called AU BANK is the worst Bank of India. People, in general talk about the rudeness of SBI or other Govt. Sector Banks, but in Private Banks, I never had such a bad experience. This AU Bank may even loot the person depositing their hard-earned money. I suggest all customers to close their bank account with this FRAUD bank.
