Ever wondered what makes the world go round ? Ever wondered if one man could stop the wheels of the world from turning ? Ever wondered what was mans purpose in life ? ever wondered what was true happiness and fulfillment ?
(If no... well wonder now or go read some other review)
Which is why this book is not meant for a younger audience, you need to understand the philosophy behind this book and along with that a lot of human psychology before you can get sucked into this book.
This is a very intense and compelling book and is very well written with extremely well composed and having well developed characters. After reading this book you’ll probably find that most of today’s best sellers could have been written by someone while seated on the commode.
This book deals with two conflicting ideals, one the social ideal where everything is done on the basis of need and sacrificing ones self for the needy, and on the other hand the profit ideal where a persons only aim in life should be satisfying himself and working for his own personal profit. You may be inclined to consider that the social ideal is the higher ideal of the two, that is until you read this book and are actually able to understand this book.
This book goes to prove that the concept of charity and of being a saint is actually evil. Robin Hood, was actually the worst kind of man on the planet. A person who steals from the rich, i.e. the person who was worked and earned his own living and giving it to the poor who are unable to do so much as to earn a decent living for themselves just because they are needy is the biggest criminal of all. Achieving glory by stealing what someone else has rightfully earned and giving to someone who is not willing to work hard enough to make his own living and does not deserve is no kind of justice. He who produces should be the one who is rewarded, just because someone needs something is no justification for taking it from someone who has worked for it and giving it to that person.
Which is how the whole world as it is today has been explained, the government taxes profitable companies because they are able to bear the cost and then subsidizes the loss making companies from those taxes since they ’’need’’ the support, thus effectively bleeding the life of a healthy company into that of a dead one. Instead the loss making company should be allowed to perish and not live off the rich one thus making them both perish in the end.
Definitely a recommended reading for someone whose willing to take the time out to read it, considering its over a thousand pages long, but its worth it.
