I am sharing my experience how i went Athirappilly waterfall in kerala. I was college student in Kozikode. Once Iskon member came to college nearby for social work during Krishna jamasthami and they had a plan for Thissur for celebrating the Guruyuvar temple. They want some people to join for a trip. We agreed upon the to go with them with my friends. Next morning we are ready at 5 am to go Thissur from kozhikode via bus doing Hare Rama Hare Krishna. So as we Thissur in temple we stayed for an hour and after that we left for sight seeing . We are 5 friends and searching for place to visit. As we see in Google there is Athirappilly waterfall where the Bahubali movie was shooted. All of my friend is ready to go but the problem is athirappilly waterfall is around 60 to 70 km far the our current place. So as we are student we cannot afford the private car or cab. So we booked auto rickshaw for 1200 rupee. Sowe went via auto all together while seeing beautiful and amazing forest along the roadsides. It take around 2 hours to reach the main gate of the waterfall. Now after reaching we are more excited to see waterfall. After taking some tea and snack we went to waterfall.
As we entered the gate after walking around 10 minute we can see the most amazing waterfall i had ever seen. The view was fantastic and breathtaking. We had bath in the waterfall in above part where it was allowed. After two hour of bath we are now again refreshed and ready to see the lower part of waterfall from downside.
We went to lowerside by taking path just like trekking down from a hill. After reaching we can feel the water vapour droplet in our face which is made by impact of water falling from high place in large amount. The sound of water impact is incredible. No better place will be defined to see the nature power and beauty at the same time. There are barrier made by rope to prevent the tourist to move further for there safety. We had clicked some photo in the pose of Bahubali and we returned to our journey back to issur via autorickshaw. This is unexpected and unplanned trip but turn out most amazing and unforgettable trip of my life.
