This is not just a review but my experience with one of the worst business entity(so called interior design company - Asense). This might be long post so bear with me. I ignored other negative reviews before going with Asense so please give it a thought if you have such plans. I will be most honest and I know they(Asense) will come with some very nice justification.
I came across Asense while watching some interior videos on youtube and to be honest, it looked very good, thereafter I visited Asense website and checked the quotation for my requirements. It came around 8 lakhs for 3 Bhk. It was fine for me. So we(me and my wife) decided to visit the studio in HSR layout. There we met Mr. Sai Kumar and explained our requirements in detail. We showed some pictures also to make it clear what we are looking for.
We asked for an exhaustive estimate and it came around 15 lakhs. It was bit high but we were ok with it. As a next step Sai asked 5%(around 75k) initial deposit so that he can visit the property to take measurements. I paid 30k. He visited and took the measurement. As a typical sales person he agreed whatever we asked for. Upon asking if the estimate will go up he said it can go up by 5-10% max. Before taking the money he agreed on everything. Had I said I want Taj Mahal he would have agreed for that as well(level of desperation to get the project).
He asked for another 40k before we can start design. I paid remaining amount as well.
On the first level of design meeting Sai was not there in the meeting and Snigdha was leading the call. My wife again explained what we are looking for. Snigdha took the notes of that and took around 10 days to come with first level of design along with revised estimate.
This was the time we realized we went to wrong place. Estimate increased by 4 lakhs again and design was not up to the mark. Upon checking with Sai on this he outrightly lied on face that we did not discussed on these requirements and you have to pay extra. At this point, Sai was like 15 lakh estimate we gave only for plain interior( one can say boxes and laminate) even a handle has to be paid extra.
We terminated the project considering the future could be much worse. Asense refused to return any money as per their company policy.
Differences-
Pooja Unit - Initial Estimate 30k after first design 150k,
Bed - Initial estimate around 40k after first design 52k.
Reason: Headboard was not considered in initial estimate.
Kitchen -> Every small thing apart from ply and laminate was added after first design.
This list is very big. This is just a glimpse of differences.
I want to know what effort they have put which they can claim 70k for.
So if you have more enough money to give to Asense then you can go for it. Otherwise the deeper(more phases) you go with them chances of regretting will increase.
