Real Class & Ergonomic. These are the qualities that we can see in every Apple product. Ever since I wanted to own an apple product, although all products of apple are expensive and as I can’t afford I wanted to have a small music player with me. Straight forwardly without any second thought I bought this product at 3450 rupees.(IPod Shuffle 2 GB – Black). Using this since 2 months and want to share my thoughts and experience with you all.
Build Quality: iPod Shuffle has a metal aluminum small body which gives a real rich feel look. Almost it is very negligible in weight. You don’t feel that you are carrying an iPod with you. It has an inbuilt clip where you can attach to your shirt or t-shirt, you may think clip don’t serve you much better, but in terms of daily usage you will find it very useful. On the top, it has a 3.5 mm jack and a slider to keep it hold.
Sound Quality: I think I need not to speak much about this section about apple. It’s just awesome. Forget about others this will blow out everything. It has such a clear and crisp sounds that we don’t feel strained hearing to music for long hours. Bass and treble sounds accurate to the volume. It’s important to remember that iPod shuffle doesn't offer any control over sound quality(Equalizer). I personally don’t like the earphones provided with this product, these are the old model Apple earphones. I traded these earphones and got earpods(new Apple model earphones).
Features: Don’t underestimate this tiny bomb. It may look small but the features are mind blowing. It supports almost all formats of music(mp3, aac, audible, wav, aif, apple lossless). The Voice Over button located on the top edge of the player is the most recent feature to come on board. Pressing this microscopic button once will cause a synthetic voice to announce the artist and song title of the currently playing song. Pressing the button twice announces the current battery life percentage. Holding down the button for a few seconds takes you into a menu mode where you can use the track skip controls to switch between any synced playlists, genius mixes, audiobooks, or podcasts.
Battery: it has a rechargeable Lithium ion battery which gives almost one day backup of continuous play back on full charge. As I use this only during my traveling hours to my office I do get a backup of almost 3-4 days which is quite fantastic indeed.
Value: Yes it’s a perfect value for money product. Recommended for music lovers. Flipkart provides this product at around 3500 rupees. If you are searching for best music player then this product is stop for your search. Before ending up my review let me bring some cons of iPod Shuffle.
1.Bundled earphones won’t give u much Bass effect although sounds clear and crisp.
2.Like every Apple music player, you need to sync using iTunes with the iPod shuffle. There's no option to drag and drop.
3.No built in radio.
4.The 2GB capacity can't hold much, you may carry almost 300 songs at one time.
In terms of features, design, sound quality, and price, the fourth-generation iPod Shuffle is the best version of the player I have seen yet. If you have more budget to afford I suggest you to go with iPod touch 4th or 5th generation.
Peace!
