There was a rumor before the SE was launched that all the iphone's are going to get cheaper by almost half, the reason that was stated was that Apple wanted to launch a new budget device. in the 25-30K price bracket.
But what happened was exactly opposite of the anticipation, In India the price of the useless 16 GB storage variant was kept at 39, 999 and the 64 GB started at 49, 999
Just a week before the launch this was the price for the flagship device iPhone 6S
And now to accomodate such an overpriced device Apple bumped up the price of all other iphone's by about 30% ! Now that's a blunder after another.
Eventually Apple did not manage to sell any more than a few thousand SE's, and to rub more slat to the wound, the sale of other handsome devices like the 6S took a nosedive.
Just think on it who would buy a device for 50, 000 that looks exactly like a one which was retailing for 18K. People seldom buy apple devices for performance, they buy it for status, ease of use and premium hardware. Well we have all negative checklists on this device. Not only was this device a flop in itself but also it has affected other apple devices in a wrong way. It would be worth a buy if the 64 GB version could retail below 35K and for God's sake Apple please get rid of the 16 GB entry variant, it's 2016. not 2006.
