My experience with this hospital comes from comparining the bills of two hospitals, one Narayana Hrudayalaya and Apollo Hospital - BG road.
My father-in-law had a brain tumer, which was resurfacing again and again . He had undergone treatmet and operation twice before in Narayana Hrudayalaya .
Due to 3rd re-occurence, he was not able to eat anything and would vomit everytime. This made him week in just a days time. As the closes hospital was Apollo -BG road, we admitted him there for recovery. [ after consultation from Dr. Timmappa Hedge ] .
Bill of Apollo hospital was 11K, for a day which included
Doctors visit charge - 3.5K [ he just came of 2 mins to give guidence which Dr. T Hedge had given]
Dietision chagres - 1.5K [ even though he was not able to eat any thing - So dietision must have said, donlt give him anything, hence we pay them 1.5K - what a missery ]
Food charges - 1K [ There was no food for him, except before discharge he was given rice water and juice - 1K even Taj takes less ]
After all this, after our discharge, Nurse did not tell us what medicines to give him, they just handed over a piece of paper which was supposed to be some kind of medicines list, without instructions.
After this we got him admitted to Narayan Hrudayalaya, for 3 weeks of treatment, 1 major brain surgery, his complete bill did not touch 55K. it costed only 18K for a 5 hour brain surgery.
I am sure you would be wondering, why should you compare a hospital for this billing, but the point I wanted to make here is that, even though people are sick, it does not cost a fortune for a best treatment. Narayan Hrudayalaya makes sure best treatment is available for all.
