The movie for Open Source lovers. Review on Antitrust Movie

Hello there, as I told I got some free time, so here I am with my new review, on an English movie named AntiTrust. This is my first review on any English Movie.

Well, don’t want to bore you people with all my greeting words, so now lets start my review.

As the name suggest, this movie is all about Anti Trustworthy laws and all those similar things in Software Industry. This movie is very nice to watch if you are a programmer, Open Source lover (Which I am not, but as Programmer I like this movie). This movie is all about Open Source, they have tried to promote Open Source through this movie. Well, as you know about my policy, I will not go through the story, because don’t want to open anything, so I will just write about the actors and actress performance and things related to it. So here it comes.

Ryan Phillippe: Plays a role of a main lead actor in this movie as Milo Hoffman, who gets chance to work in a software company named NURV, NURV the company which is shown as equivalent in the movie as Microsoft in real life. Ryan has played his role very nicely.

Claire Forlani: Plays a role of a main lead actress in this movie as ---. Who is the girlfriend of Milo Hoffman, and who is got paid by NURV for staying with Milo Hoffman. She has also played her role very nicely.

Rachael Leigh Cook: Plays a role of a supporting actress in this movie as Lisa. After Milo gets to know about his girl friend, he slowly gets trust and love towards Lisa. But then Lisa only, gets the trust of Milo on her back by playing a trick on Milo. She has also played her role very nicely.

Yee Jee Tso: Plays a role of a friend of a Milo as Teddy Chin. Who is the true Open Source lover, who gets the offer from NURV to work with them, but he refuses to work with them, because NURV don’t like Open Source. He gets killed by the employers of the NURV.

Tim Robbins: Plays a role of a villain in this movie as Gary Winston. He tried to copy almost whole body language of Bill Gates and he got success also. He played his role very well, and he looks same as Bill Gates in the movie. He gives money to his employers to kill one the programmer, so he can steal the code and name those codes as his own code for his up-coming software application S-Y-N-A-P-S-E.

A Little About Movie:

Milo and Teddy both are the best friend and they are very good and well known programmers in the Software Industry. They get the offer from NURV to work there, but Teddy refuses the offer, because NURV don’t like Open Source, and he is the true lover of Open Source. But Milo accepts it, because he doesn’t wanted to loose this such a great opportunity. At NURV they start working on a new project called S-Y-N-A-P-S-E. This side, Teddy also works on the same project but in Open Source. He gets one complicated thing working, which NURV programmers are still not able to find, so Gary Winston sends his employers to kill Teddy and steal the code, so he can use those codes in the S-Y-N-A-P-S-E and name those codes as own codes. Then Milo gets to know about this, that Gary Winston sent employers to kill Teddy and all those things, and then you want to know watch this movie.

Memories:

There are two scenes in this movie which I really like to enjoy whenever I watch this movie.

1 – When Milo creates his Dummy ID to get access in the various other parts of the NURV corporate buildings where he is not able to.

2 – After creating Dummy ID, when he goes to the un-authorized building and tries to get the secret information.

My Conclusion:

This movie is really nice for the programmers and also for the Open Source lovers. As this movie is made such a that image of Microsoft is shown as NURV and image of Bill Gates is shown as Gary Winston in this movie, so at a one moment, movie will really make you think, that Bill Gates is really like this or not? But its not true. Well, going off to the topic, so coming back now. This movie is really created, directed very nicely, everything in this movie is perfect.
