One of my most horrible trip I had ever taken! Thanks to Antilog!
I was liaising with Himani Sharma and all she promised me that the best service will be given to me through my Singapore journey and that I can reach out to them at any given point of time.(even in Singapore)
They sweet talk you only till all the payments are made and mind you they are damn particular about that and even will call you for payments on your payment date. But once they receive their payments(which I did well before time) they disappear and no one will bother to give you a callback or even bother to coordinate or know about your whereabouts once you are in some foreign country. They work typical 10am-6pm, that means if you are abroad no one will attend to your problems even if you get stuck abroad due to the time difference and their inability to serve you when needed in an emergency.
I had booked my Singapore package from Antilog for 5 nights 6 days for my family(2 adults 1 infant) on a private vehicle basis and not SIC which is also mentioned in the emails that I have received from Antilog. My flight was on 16th early morning around 1:15 am. Even after making the full payment well in advance, I was asking the Antilog executive for the travel vouchers and the itinerary which she was not sending me even after repeated reminders.
It was only 1 day before my journey that I received the travel voucher and itinerary, but I was shocked to know that the city tour was on SIC basis while I had made it very clear to the exec that I require a private vehicle for the sightseeing since I have an infant with me. I even mailed her immediately regarding this but she did not bother to reply to it. I had also told her repeated no of times that, my flight is reaching Singapore early in the morning and the room check-in timings is at 2pm so kindly inform the hotel well in advance about our early arrival. Again, she told me not to worry and she will get it done and that if I have any problem I can reach out to her anytime. The travel voucher only had an emergency number in Singapore and I had absolutely no idea who is my driver is, his name and what is his number. Since, it was 15th Aug on that day(Independence Day), I tried reaching their landline(which no one was attending) even her mobile was switched off. Previously I had made multiple requests yet she did not give me my drivers number and told me upon exit a person will stand out with your name on the placard.
Finally, when I reached Singapore(8:30am) My flight was half hour early, I found that there was no one to pick me up. I was trying the Antilog office nos and Himani’s no(which was switched off). I was roaming around the whole airport at all terminals to find the guy who was holding my placard but there was no one. Finally I found one guy who came into the airport lounge calling my name and told me wait a mcdonalds nearby.took my snap(which I had no idea why?) By then it was 10:40 approx. he disappeared and returned at 11:10am bringing along 3 more passengers. I was shocked cos I had paid for the full itenary travel on a private basis. He was hunting to pull in more passengers, that is when I told him that my agent Antilog Vacations is not reachable and they have failed miserably in providing me a smooth travel since I paid for a private cab, he then took all of us in a small bus and dropped us to the hotel. But this did not put an end to my agony. I got to know that there was no booking done in my name and there was one booking that was done which was cancelled on 11th for reasons best known to Antilog Vacations.
Forget early checkin, after waiting for hours on the airport exhausted with my bags and baggage I was made to wait in the hotel lobby till 1:40pm. In the meantime, I was calling the executives at Antilog and they did not know what to do since Himani was not in office. Once Himani(my travel executive) came in I spoke to her about the whole ordeal and mess Antilog has put me and my family into. She was shocked herself and her reason- “Maine toh apni taraf se unko inform kar diya tha…pata nahi aise kaise ho gaya.” Is this the answer the customer should be getting or expecting? She spoke to her higher up’s and after that finally after so many back and fro calls between antilog and the hotel they allowed me to check in at around 2pm. Here I was in my hotel room at 2pm and my itenary for the day 1 was scheduled at 2pm. I, my wife and my 2 year old kid after waiting for hours in the airport, even after paying up extra for pvt vehicle travelled in SIC from airport to hotel, were made to wait in the hotel lobby with our luggage for hours since Antilog had not done any booking in my name. And to top it all, my itenary starts at 2pm! She then called me and told me- now that I finally got to check in(which was 2pm), my vehicle will be coming at 2:30pm, she pushed it by 30 mins on special request. We then had to- with so much waiting, no bath, not getting fresh were directly put into another SIC vehicle with another family.
Again, they failed cos I had paid extra for private vehicle…we were dropped at the zoo. Later in the eve we went to the night safari and then it was time for the river safari…but we were so-so tried, we could not go any further -for the river safari. Again a waste of time, energy and money. A journey full of hassles and mind you after day 1 when Antilog realized that they have screwed up they did not even bothered to call up even once throughout the day to day itenary to enquire if everything was going fine for the rest of my trip. A ‘C’ grade service. I was also in talks with my antilog exec for my next vacation ie Maldives(for my family of 3 and my senior citizen parents) I thank God that I’am saved from their horror and will never ever give them business or recommend anyone to plan their trip with such a company who are a imcompetent in their field. False promises and un-ethical working standards!
