ILLUMINATI - The secretive group fighting for the rights of Science and its progress, had been down for centuries. The phone rings...... and suddenly a fax arrives.... Robert Langdon is woken up in the middle of a good nights sleep and what he sees in the FAX shakes off every ounce and bit of sleep that he had still lingering in his eyes. He sees a Corpse , tortured and wasted like no other he has seen and on his chest is inscribed the words which sends chills in his bones - ILLUMINATI.
They are back, he cannot believe it, but there they are right in front of his eyes.
Then the story starts taking its effect on the reader with the Majestic description of the VATICAN city , the masterpieces, the works that have been part of many a scholars study group and books, journals and archives which have been the target of attention over centuries and most importantly the mystery of THE ILLUMINATI making a come back after so many centuries and in a manner which is eye catching, nerve raking and right there but just UNREAL.... all have been done beautifully by one of my favourite authors - DAN BROWN in this book Angels and Demons.
The main characters of this are - the harvard professor - Robert Langdon, Leonardo Vetra, Vittoria, Max Kohler, Carmelengo, THE MAY BE THERE POPE and the shadow - the Hassasin.
The main characters Robert and Vittoria are here trying to Find out who killed Vetra and who has vetra's invention - Antimatter which has resulted a great deal out of the combined efforts of Vetra and Vittoria , his daughter and which is being threatened to be Misused to blow the whole of VATICAN city with all the religious members of the CHURCH and that too LIVE by ILLUMINATI.
The story unfolds page by page and with his usual style adding up loads of information ( some wrong and much of it correct - as found out in reviews throughout and online ) DAN BROWN reveals the secret society of ILLUMINATI and the People who have some of the greatest minds working in CERN , the place where all of it began and the larger than life city of ROME and it's neverending information ,clues, books, journals, sculptures and paintings archives and how the lead characters go round about the whole PLACE and how they find out what was done , how and why ..... ITS a great book overall.
Dan Brown has beautifully brought about the characters and given them his usual taste and style that he has in all of his books by bringing the little bit of romance, fun ,flirtation , anticipation,etc.... and he has done it well here too.
Just go for it and gulp it down... no, take it bit by bit and you would enjoy it in the fashion in which it was designed to be read....... GO ON...... Have an OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE..... read the book and you will break the code
be well
