As an avid online shopper, I have always trusted Amazon for its wide range of products and reliable service. However, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. I fell victim to a scam on Amazon, where the seller reached out to me personally and tricked me into paying a large amount to their UPI(Unified Payments Interface). Shockingly, Amazon has refused to take responsibility for this fraudulent activity, despite my repeated attempts to seek help from their customer service.
I had ordered a high-value item worth RS. 33000 on Amazon, and eagerly awaited its arrival. However, as days turned into weeks, I realized that something was amiss. There was no tracking information available, and the seller was unresponsive to my inquiries. That's when I received a direct message from the seller, claiming that there was an issue with the payment and requesting me to pay the refunded amount to their UPI directly to resolve the matter.(Partialy refunded the amount 1 by 1 after I payed the first partial amount)
Even though I have confirmed with Amazon customer care before I pay the amount to the seller UPI, I received the UPI details through mail from Amazon (through Seller buyer contact I received mail from Amazon to pay the amount in seller UPI)
As a trusting customer, I complied and transferred the funds to the seller's UPI, believing that this was a legitimate request. Little did I know that I was being scammed. The seller disappeared without a trace, and I never received the item I had ordered. My hard-earned money was gone, and I was left with no recourse.
I immediately contacted Amazon's customer service, hoping for a resolution. However, to my dismay, I was met with indifference and lack of accountability. Amazon refused to take responsibility for the scam that took place on their platform, despite the fact that the seller had reached out to me personally and manipulated me into paying outside of the platform. Their response was evasive, and they dismissed my concerns without offering any concrete solutions.
As a loyal Amazon customer, I am deeply disappointed by their lack of action in this matter. It is evident that scammers are exploiting loopholes in Amazon's system and targeting unsuspecting customers like me. Amazon must take immediate steps to tighten their security measures, hold scammers accountable, and ensure that customers are protected from such fraudulent activities.
I urge all fellow Amazon customers to be cautious and vigilant while making online purchases and to be aware of the possibility of scams. It is essential to verify the authenticity of any payment requests, to never pay outside of the Amazon platform, and to report any suspicious activities to Amazon's customer service immediately. I also call upon Amazon to prioritize the safety and security of their customers and to take proactive measures to prevent such scams from happening in the future.
In conclusion, my experience with Amazon has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I have lost a significant amount of money due to a scam on their platform, and their customer service has failed to take responsibility or provide any meaningful assistance. I urge Amazon to take swift action to address this issue and ensure that their customers are protected from scams. As a customer, I deserve better, and I hope that my story serves as a cautionary tale for others. Remember, always be cautious and vigilant while making online purchases, and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities. Let's work together to create a safer online shopping experience for everyone. Beware of scammers on Amazon, and don't fall victim to their deceitful tactics. Stay safe, and happy shopping!
