I am a great fan of etailers, Amazon in particular.
Recently I had bought 2 sets of curtains from them for a great price of Rs.349.The way, they handled the entire transaction was really smooth. But this text is to show a bit of cognizance from our(customer) side.
I bought 4 sets of curtains at one shot(2 curtains in each set). I paid Rs.2400 for the entire package.
I received the package and signed the courier. But after opening, I found that the package contained only two sets and not four.
problem would be that Amazon might argue that I received the package(since I signed the courier contents) and would not beleive that I received only a partial package. There is no way that I can prove, I received only partial contents.
But Amazon took my words and refunded the remaining amount promptly( The curtains were not in stock and hence they could not send the curtains)
LESSONS LEARNT: To avoid any anxiety or want of proof, check the courier contents While the courier person is still waiting for your signature. Advantage is that, if we find some anomaly we could return the package to the same person who brought the courier.
But nevertheless, Amazon is the best in terms of service. so far I never had any hiccups with them.
