This is my worst shopping experience at #AmazonIndia(#Amazon). I bought a pair of #Nike shoes from Amazon.in and to my surprise, I received only one piece and the other was missing from the box. I tried approaching the customer care a lot many times, but nothing worked out. Customer care of Amazon is so pathetic, they do not have any proper resolution. Every time they give a different excuse. They aren't ready for return also, even the policy says "30 days return & exchange", what am I supposed to do with one shoe?


I bought the shoes on May 30, 2020, and it was delivered on June 05, 2020, since then I've been chasing them for replacement/exchange of the shoes. Responses from the customer care team I get:


1.We cannot arrange for exchange/replacement of the product as my address doesn't come in their range(How did preceding parcels return?). Later, after a lot of discussions, they agreed for the replacement of shoes as an exceptional one time measure. The replaced shoes came for delivery on June 11 and the delivery boy denied taking the shoe back, as one piece was missing.


2.On June 11, first I was told nothing can be done. Then I was told to courier the package to the given address and then they ll have the replacement delivered upon receipt of the parcel. Post that I was told that this cannot be done as the seller is selling one article per customer(a lie, I can still order shoe from the same seller). Later a return was arranged.


3.On June 12, the return was canceled and I was asked to return the product by self courier. I was also told that the seller is out of stock, whereas I can see in the app that the same shoe, the same size is available with the same seller.


4.Between the delivery of the product to raising the complain - the price of shoe increased by 6, 200(Yes, 6200 is the price difference).


This is how Amazon steals your money through online payments. It offers an item at a price that looks better than the competition after it has received your online payment, it shortchanges you by sending wrong/substandard/short quantity/ damaged or incomplete product. Once you complain they offer you a refund(not replacement or exchange).


Reason for doing so: by the time you receive the product, price hikes so you have not only forgone the opportunity of buying from other platforms, even if you buy, you'll have to buy at a higher price. Either they are trying unethical competition or that's the way they run their business.


Very Unprofessional and unfair service by Amazon!
