We buy products from brands, pay huge sum and trust them for their credibility. I trusted to buy products from Amazon for the very same reason.
I have received a faulty fossil watch in the past once but I still thought of giving Amazon a chance. The worse was yet to be discovered until I came across their sweet talking customer care representatives who are lying on your face without fear.
I placed an order for Fabrilla barbeque grill 2 weeks back and it was suppose to reach me on 8th of December. I didn't receive my parcel and kept tracking it till Saturday evening and when I saw there is no progress I decided to call customer care representative.
Representative 1 - Gnana Mano Ranjith: I followed up with this representative and I explained him my concern as to how important this parcel is as this is to be gifted and begged for help. He put me on hold and a while later told me that he has escalated it to the concerned department. I asked him if there is anyway in which he can help me to get more details as I need this parcel anyhow. He puts me on hold for a while and returns to promise me that we assure your parcel will reach you in 48 hours.
Shorty before 48hours I spoke to Gati directly enquiring the status of my order and as usual the rude guys told me that it can't be delivered. I still kept my cool and decided to reach out to Amazon for help again.
Representative 2- Inamul K: I explained him the same issue and told him about my previous call with their representative and Gati. This guy puts me on hold and says that I spoke to the Gati guys and I have it figured out. Your parcel will reach you by 8pm today. I explained him that I have given my office address and I will leave for home by 5.30 pm and if need be I'll travel back to collect my parcel. He again put me on hold and after some time told me that you absolutely be worry free as your parcel will reach you by 5 pm. You don't need to place anymore calls to anyone.
It's 5 past. I place a third call.
Representative 3 - Lakshmi S: She heard me and told me sorry Ma'am your parcel can't be delivered today.(I mean how convenient!) I explained her what the earlier Representatives told me and she simply told me I don't assure any such things. I was so angry and questioned her Is it about an individual. How can you play blame game by saying I don't make such promise and they do! Aren't you a group of people representing Amazon.
I have lost all the faith and trust in Amazon. Just because in India people don't have time to sue, these big giants will continue to exploit us and devalue us.
I am hugely disappointed with Amazon.
