Kindle Fire - One of the Best Gadget that I own myself. Probably I think many of you are not aware of this product, as it is not available in India. This amazing tab was gifted by my uncle, bought from Germany. Even though it’s very cheap it’s worth every penny, it cost around 9500 rupees only.

Design & Display:
I personally want to admire amazon people for such an amazing design and built quality for just 10, 000 rupees. The material used for the outer cover of the tablet is outstanding and has a great grip in hands. It has an Gorgeous and fantabulous ips display with vivid colours. Though the bezels eats a lot of space on tablet surface it has a good look on front facing part of the tablet.
Performance:
Performance was pretty good compared to its price range. Though it has a dual core processor it lags a bit sometimes while gaming and 512 mb ram is sufficient for me to handle 10-15 apps on my tablet. Android os is quite customised by amazon, it has entirely different structure compared to original Gingerbread. But still able to download all applications from play store. The interface was well designed and the touchwiz was quite impressive on 2.3. it’s very smooth and snappy.
Processor – 4/5 - Android OS – 3/5 - Interface – 4/5
Entertainment:
80% of my usage is entertainment, I love watching movies and listening to music on my Tab. 1024 x 600 pixels resolution screen gives best movie experience. The headphones provided are much better than any other brand and gives me enhanced experience over Music. As there is no camera in this tab I need to upload manually from my pc, but viewing photos is great in Kindle Fire. I rate 5/5 for Entertainment.
Browsing:
Browsing in kindle fire is always been fantastic. It gives me around 4-5 hrs continuous browsing experience. It has an inbuilt flash player so that the videos come preloaded in browser itself. The stock browser was well built in the tab.
Battery Life:
Lasting….Lasting & Long Lasting, yes perfect battery backup. With its extensive and enormous 4400mah battery it gives me around 5-6 hrs of full entertainment but with gaming it comes around 2-3 hrs. but the main disappointment in battery department is that it takes around 5-6 hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent.
Major Cons:
No Camera on both sides.
Quite heavy to handle with single hand – weighs around 430 grams.
Very low internal storage(8 GB – 6 GB storage & 2 GB for apps)
Conclusion:
Anyhow the Kindle fire was a brand mark among people for reading books. But still to remember that at this price point this can’t be an ipad or galaxy tab killer. If you can afford only 10000 and you want a brand tag then you can choose this blindly or else if you can afford more you can go ahead with other tablets. So my recommendation remains neutral depending on your requirements.
