This is my second review and I am not sure whether I've got the flow to write nice and user friendly reviews. Anyway practice makes perfect.
The item title itself is wrong. Actually it is Amateur Photographer and it is a UK based publication. I do read lot of back issues of this magazine, but I'm not a subscriber of it. I've plenty of chance to read these publications as the British Library council has a big archive of this magazine.
Half the magazine is packed with sale issues of cameras, both digital and film, mostly professional and amateur Single Lens Reflex systems. However the first half is very informative and they do publish expert opinion on so many manual and automatic SLR's. The best part I like is their test on a particular camera, a new one in every issue.
They do have regular contests but as I mostly read back issues, I have not had any chance to participate. Their give aways are pretty nefty and if you big win, you will go yahoo!...
Overall, it is a nice photography publication if you interested in photography, however I would recommend subscribing to this magazine only if you have a medium format or a SLR system.
