Must commend Amara raja batteries on the truthfullness of their AD. The batteries do last long very long. I just spent money on a new Amaron and I am here writing this review because my last Amaron last me FIVE full years.. WOW... The exide that came with my car lasted only 2 years I am no a die hard Amaron fan. My last battery was bought in Oct 2005. I know this because the month and year is pasted on teh top of the battery.
I made sure I called the Amaron helpline to send me a brand new Amaron battery. Guess what it was Rs 400 cheaper that the Exide. They were very helpfull and the battery was delivered in an hour as promised by the service lead. I mentioned I wanted a new batter not one which was on the shelf for a long time and I got one manufactured in October 2011 ( This is one thing you must keep in mind when buying a battery how long has it been sitting on the dealers shelf for that's why its good to get in touch with the company directly and have them arrange a battery for you. Amaron has a toll free helpline)
I practically did not maintenance on the battery and still this long life. I remember the Exide guy telling me two years is the normal life of a battery when I had gone to change the battery the last time.
Great job Amaron. I wont keep the car much longer however I plan to show it as a postive to a prospective buyer when it comes time to sell :)
