A book to own. Review on Amader Kotha - Bijoya Ray

I purchased the book "amader kathaa" by Bijaya Ray,the wife of film maestro,the legendary film maker Satyajit Ray .I must say this book is sensational and I must say,"hats off " to bijaya ray's deceased soul for her outstanding way of writing and narrating biography of satyajit Ray,her life before marriage with Satyajit Ray and after marriage .From this story book we get to know many habits,manias,finesse of making film of Satyajit Ray .He when got awards overseas how himself responded and reacted,everything is depicted .How all scenes in his immoral movies were picturized or how he himself designed dresses before the shot for a movie,how he wrote poems,stories and how he wrote songs and tuned them,all delineations are pithily depicted .Satyajit Ray also directed Hindi movies and English movies apart from Bengali movies .Bijaya Ray mentioned how she dwelled her life and how "Manik " i.e. Satyajit Ray dwelled his life; how they fell in love despite being cousins and eventually got married .Many pictures drawn by Satyajit ray himself astonished me .Vijaya Ray revealed many unknown mystery of a legend,Oscar winning director Satyajit Ray .When I read,every line presented a twist and her humour and wit of writing must get you glued to this book .When I was reading within one and half day I finished the book .After reading I got a feel of satisfaction,being spellbound and amazement .I imperceptibly enjoyed this book .The price of this book is trivial compared to its mine of opulence,majesty spread across this book in all pages,all lines .Please do read this book .You will again be enamoured of this legend Satyajit Ray or manikda who had given so much to Indian cinema in the yard of works cinema .
