The seed of crime - from where it absorbs water? Who nourish it and protect it? Poverty seems the best of soil and injustice the other. When one is met with both, there is no chance for consciousness to survive. The child named crime is growing.

Vijay and Yakub are children of poverty, where one is orphan and under the shelter of the other where they had to support a sick mother. They resort to petty crimes and now crime is a play for them. They find the chill and thrill of it and now they want to be like the dons. Their living place, none other than Bhool Bhulaiyya is a horror place ruled by rascals. They are dreamt of forming a gang of their own. They start early and succeed in their first mission, only to end up in jail for crimes they committed and they didn't, including murder. The juvenile home was a feeding ground of criminals and they are exposed to more injustice. The youngsters take the challenge and wait for their time. And they are determined to rule Bhool Bhulaiyya one day carrying all their childhood memories.

Allah Ke Banday is an attempt to highlight an issue if exists need serious attention. (I am not sure how far the issue is present in the urban or even rural India). Using poor to build a castle of crime is never justified and it can only payback sin. Allah Ke Banday is a good intend movie which succeeds in keeping the audience attention throughout but it could have been made better.

Writer Director Faruk Kabir makes his presence felt through this attempt. The leading actor has a long way to go, but as a director he shows his versatility. Writing could have been better. Characters and situations are created for the sake of it than they arrive as it so. The direction however tries to cover many of the films problems with success. The first half of the movie is more gripping.

Faruk Kabir scores not only as a director but as an actor as well. Very Good! Sharman Joshi however disappoints big time. Here, the blame is not on Sharman Himself, but casting him in the role was a mistake. While Faruk's performance will be the highlight of the movie, Sharman's performance (or non performance) will be the negative. The child artists did an excellent job. Both of them represented the seniors very well. Great choice and good performance! Naseruddin Shah's character and performance both were interesting and Dil Mange More. Rest of the cast did their role quite well.

Music of the film is very good, where more applauds worth is its back ground score. Cinematography is very good and editing is competent. Overall, the film is a technically better made film.

The drama, Message and performance by the youngsters and Faruk Kabir will be the highlight of this film. There are certain hard hitting scenes in the film, like the rape scene, Sharman meeting Nassaruddin Shah in a cafe and the school master taking the dead body of Vittal to the gang centre.

On the minus side, (along with Sharman's non performance) the screen play lacks the punch which could have created. Gang leader gives a gun to the children on spot only to shoot him after a few minutes and the children dropping the gun for the convenience of killing the gang leader only to blame the children is the kind of convenience the writer resort to. Also the happy helpless families who don't worry about their children are a poor show case. Juvenile orphanage warden and the gang too trade drugs to the juvenile members are less thoughtful. No wonder the jail warden has to live the beggar's life, then how will one explain the way the gang accumulated big amount for their operation? The climax is a compromise too. However, the speed of events will restrict the flaws to affect the entertainment value.

Overall, Allah Ke Banday has its own set of minuses, but the good intention and the speed of the drama compensate for the flaws and it is turned to be a worthwhile watching endure. Farukh Kabir has proven his mettle with the movie and look forward to more from him. Recommended for Adults, who love serious cinema.
