I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning incident that recently occurred with my Airtel services. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the false information and commitments made to me regarding my Wi-Fi connection plans, as well as the unauthorized addition of an Airtel DTH connection without my consent.
On Friday, 2nd June 2023 I saw the pamphlet of Airtel Wi-Fi plans and contacted Airtel Sales Person to inquire about the available Wi-Fi connection plans in my area SahakarNagar. And, Sales person came home to explain about the Wi-Fi plans, during the conversation, I was provided with specific details regarding the plans, including the pricing, speed, and reliability of the service. Based on the information provided, I made the decision to proceed with an Airtel Wi-Fi connection, as it seemed to meet my requirements.
To my surprise, upon installation, I discovered that the Wi-Fi connection provided did not match the specifications and commitments that were made to me during our conversation. This discrepancy has caused a great deal of inconvenience and frustration for me as a customer.
Furthermore (in my absence), I later on realized that without my knowledge or consent, an Airtel DTH connection was added to my account, and my existing Tata Sky connection was removed and the antenna is also dismantled by Airtel technicians. I did not request or authorize this change, and it is completely unacceptable for a service provider to make such changes without explicit customer consent. This act has disrupted my television viewing experience and left me without the service I had initially chosen and subscribed to. When they asked me for OTP I provided them but no where they did not mention me that OTP is for DTH connection of Airtel and also when the sales person came home to explain the plans he no where mentioned about the AIRTEL DTH CONNECTION and DTH postpaid plan. My focus and ask was only for and on Wi-Fi plans and when I questioned the sales person about the 350+ channels for 699 Wi-Fi plans he provided the information stating that channels can be watched over Wi-Fi and data is unlimited so atleast at that time he could have mentioned about the DTH connection know Airtel customer team doesn't respond at all.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but it is crucial for a reputable company like Airtel to rectify them promptly.
Therefore, I kindly request the following actions to be taken:
1. Revert my account to the original Tata Sky connection that I had subscribed to. Ensure that the transition is smooth and any associated costs are covered by Airtel.
2. Provide me with compensation for the inconvenience and frustration caused by the false information, unauthorized DTH connection addition, and subsequent disruption to my television services.
I believe in the importance of open communication, and I trust that Airtel values its customers' satisfaction. I hope that you will take this matter seriously and resolve it in a timely and satisfactory manner. I look forward to a prompt response addressing my concerns and the proposed actions.
