I had subscribed to Airtel digital package in March 2015 using their web portal and selecting yearly subscription. The amount auto populates and I paid by credit card.
Airtel does not send any bill confirming amount collected, package subscribed and validity.But the package expired in 6 months abruptly. When I called airtel they said I have to make a call to airtel after making payment to avail the yearly package or else it will be a daily package with a daily burn.
Also after I subscribed to yearly package. The increased package prices were applied thus making the yearly package expire in 6 months.
Had it been a subtle reduction of say 11 months to so I would not even have realized that airtel is indulging in such a subtle scam. This might be happening to many other customers who dont realize that their subscription expires prematurely.
Gross cheating and fraud!
