Airtel Broadband: Reckless & Iressponsible People

I was quite Happy with Airtel and Services . I have been using the Airtel Mobile & Broadband network. Things were fine and Airtel seems to be better than any other service provider.


I was so happy with their Service and Customer Care in Hyderabad that when I move to Bangalore, I could not even think of anyone except Airtel.


Any Company is all about People and I guess the Airtel Bangalore people need to know a few things, first is internet is too important for some people and if connectivity goes down, it can have impact.


Lets Come straight to the Point. I applied for connection, I paid 1500 Rs or so and nothing happens for 15 -20 days and I keep following up and nothing happens. Finally I paid the money on Jan 6th 2012 and I got connection on Jan 27tth 2012, no quite there by Airtel Standards and my following up, my planning my work and other hassles were unnecessary. I forgot this and moved ahead and I must say no serious issues with connectivity or connection and things were going on well.


Then arrived the second problem, I am not getting bills and I dont know what is happening. I was supposed to get 1 paper bill followed by bills to email but nothing was coming. I began to followup myself with airtel customer care and sent mails but no response. I followed up again and no response.


Finally one day I returned from office and was supposed to work on something urgent. It was 10:00 pm in the night. I turned on the PC and Internet connection came up with a message, Internet disconnected due to Non Payment of Bill. It was very urgent for me, I called up customer care and they are hard to reach because of the stupid messages and instruction you get before you get hold of the customer care. I told the customer care, It is not my mistake alone for not paying bill and payment is not the problem and give me connection for 30 minutes, I will pay the bill else disconnect the connetion but they cannot do anything. Seeing no alternative I went back to the office resumed my work and sent a mail to customer care regarding the inconvenience, they dont care. In fact customer care person tells me I should follow them up and pay the bills, why should I and I did it also but no response.


I sent a mail to the customer care, I am not going to pay the bill and I want apology and just like how they charge late fees penalty I also want some explanation for this incident. I will pay but on certain conditions and most importantly apology and inconvenience caused to me. Airtel does't care just doesn't.


So difficult to accept that it is their own mistake when they have in fact made a mistake. Customer care says Pay the Bill and they do not talk about their irresponsible deed something like it is very normal for them, attitude is take it or get lost, we have lot of customers and we are well established now to ignore one customer.They send me the bill after disconnecting the connection and they have disconnected because I have not paid the bill which is quite a wonderful thing to do.


From a customer like me they would not have any payment issues but they dont care, they just care for their ego. I still cant understand what is my mistake if Airtel is not going to send me bill how will I pay them and why disconnect without notice when you cannot reconnect back at the earliest. Very bad given the reputation Airtel has.


Sadly It ended like this.
