I have been using airtel DSL connection for about 7 years. They were OK earlier. For the last year or so, I notice that they are resorting to unfair marketing techniques. My billing cycle is from 26 to 25th of the month. On 28th or 29th I get a message, "You have used 80% of your built in broadband data usage limit. Speed will be reduced/revised as per bill plan. Want to retain high speed?
Visit https://airtel.in/smartbytes". After a few hours on the same day, I get another message telling me that I have used 100% of the limit. This happens even on days when the house is locked and we are away for the weekend. Obviously, Airtel is committing a fraud.
I will soon be filing a complaint in the Consumer Forum, once I have adequate data for at least one year.
