Good Telecom operator to work for. Review on Aircel Ltd

When I was working for TATA Communications in Pune and was having around 2 .6 years of work experience I got to know about an opening for a switch engineer in Aircel, Mumbai location. I was referred by my ex manager to this company for a an interview.

I got a call after a day of applying and it was a telephonic interview after which I got selected and got a call from HR immediately.

Next day I got an offer with 30% hike on CTC .

I joined Aircel in Mumbai, in Jan 2008 and worked for an year. My work profile required me to work in shifts and hence the working time were fixed for me. I enjoyed working there as the colleagues were very experienced and supporting. Also from policy point of view the company is good. They also give good annual hike as per telecom companies standard.

Work environment is also descent if not very good.

But if you have higher ambitions then surely this is not the company to work for longer duration as growth is very limited and down the years your CTC will also be below par with market standards. But for learning point of view there is lot of oppurtunity and I would say it is good place for people who are keen to shape their career in telecom domain and have just started.

I had nice time till I worked in this company and I moved from this company as I had higher ambitions and I got a very good opportunity from a Vendor company after working here for about an year.

I will surely recommend this company
