I chose this place to catch up with an old pal on a week night. I had only read reviews online.
This place is bang opp Forum on the Big Bazaar side. So really hard to miss. They have a lounge Aira and a restaurant Rakabdar.
The lounge is an open air place on the 4th floor. Very well done. Ample seating but can get a little difficult if its just the 2 of you. They need to create better seating for couples.
Surprisingly, the place was very empty even for a weeknight so we got good service. They have happy hours till 9 pm(wow!). Well not so wow considering they have a different happy hour menu with drinks at reduced prices. The happy hour menu is actually quite sad. They have predominantly vodka and white rum based cocktails of the basic types. They have many more cocktails in the regular menu which are priced steeply at par with other joints in the city.
They serve starters and kababs at the lounge. Not a very elaborate menu but what they have on offer is excellent. We ordered the dahi kababs and a chicken kabab. excellent portions and very well done. I would strongly recommend the dahi kabab though they are more like deep fried fritters.
The music is ok. Maybe on weekends they play better stuff. The service was prompt. My friend wanted some customization to his drink and the bar tender himself came to our table to understand what he wanted.
They have valet parking inside since there is no way you can park on the road there.
Prices are definitely on the higher side. But a great hangout place nonetheless. If nothing, go for the ambience.
