It is really a big surprise that people still prefer an IA flight. This is one organisation who just feel that since they are the National Carriers, so they have all the right to take its customers for granted. start from the check - in, the person sitting on the counter just won't make u feel comfortable. No smile, they greet but as if they are making an ehsan on you. In the flight, some air hostesses are real good but some just don't bother to even wish you on boarding the plane cos they r busy re-doing the make - up or talking with the pilot or steward (planning............). Then comes the serving time, again woh ehsan wali baat comes. Now at that height, you have to just bear, you can't open the door and get down. you all know the reason why! Then comes the landing, again like a statue, they will stand with folded hands and if you r lucky to hear their divine voice, they will say Namaste (in a typical Neena Gupta style) as if you have just lost in kamzor kadi kaun. Time wise yes they have improved but no match with the pvt. jetliners. They will have to transform at the human level first to emerge as a true National Carrier.
