I wont recommend any body ever to fly with air-india. I had the worst experience with that. I had a connecting flight from Jamnagar -Mumbai-kolkata. My flight AI-648 from Jamnagar to Mumbai was cancelled and I dint even get a message informing that. When I reached the airport and came to know about the situation, I told one Air-India woman staff about my connecting flight. Her reply was astonishing-" I don't care about your connecting flight, I can just make you reach Bombay somehow." I had no other choice but to give in to the option they provided-which was to travel by third quality Air-India bus from Jamnagar to Ahmadabad (7 hrs journey) and then catch a flight there. That could make me reach Mumbai nine hrs late.
The bus that they provided- I'm sure even the worst buses plying in UP & bihar are better than that bus. It made a creepy sound for the whole journey, one cannot even talk over phone. It was so slow that we got the feeling that another flight provided by them will be missed again. Sure it was not an AC bus but even some windows were broken. I didn't have my breakfast early in the morning, and I was punished to starve for the whole day. I could eat only after reaching Mumbai.
I had to cancel my next indigo flight from Mumbai -Kolkata, and book other jetkonnect flight.
Also on the return journey on 19th June 2013, my Air India flight AI-676 was delayed for 3 and half hrs.
This msg is for every air traveler. Please avoid traveling with air India.
