Don't book thro' Agoda. Review on Agoda

If you book thro' Agoda you are sure of getting into trouble. You will be shocked to hear about your booking cancellation without any notification to you. Hotel will inform you that they have not received any communication from Agoda about the booking and you will be left with no where. For me, not 1 or 2, but 4 of my bookings were not accepted by the hotel/cancelled and was only known to me when I went to the hotel with my booking confirmation from Agoda. Hotel don't care about the booking confirmation email issued by Agoda. Hotels will try to help you by routing your booking to other hotels with jacked up pricing. They encash your situation. Agoda website do not have the proper review place, it only allows preselected points to select for the review.

I booked a homestay on 30th Oct for 2 days in Chikkamagalur, Karnataka thro' Agoda, and have a confirmation on the booking. I went on 30th Oct to this homestay with my family and got the shock that they don't have any bookings from Agoda and they cannot provide any accommodation as all the bookings are full. On the pretext of helping me they reouted me to another accommodation which later again cancelled. Time was running out and was getting darker, they directed to an resort, which was more than 2 times of the original booking cost. Tired of travelling and unknown place I had to accept it. With No WiFi, No TV, No AC I had to struggle for the stay. They have an understanding between them on the rates. They looted me for 2 days and had to shell out Rs.12k for 2 days for 2 people. I booked with Coffee Safari Home stay which was cancelled without intimation, I booked Chikkamagalur beautiful home stay which got cancelled for no reason, finally I booked Malnad Kallmane Home stay which gave a shock at the reception. These homestays do not have the option of providing reviews. Be careful if you hare booking Kallmane Home stay as you can get the surpise any time.
