It is very depressing to see this Country filled with so many cheaters everywhere irrespective of the domain or business. Seems honesty & customer protection is gone out of the window long back. Recently availed the service of Agarwal Packers & Movers.
Team came without any supervisor but only four workers. One of them pushed the steel almirah in to the Service lift with no care and broke its mirror and we were made to pay 5000 INR for it to the society. When contacted Agarwal, the contact point, a lady who coordinated all, she simply brushed it off and said they are just labourers and does not care about these things and such breakages happens and customer has to pay for it. We were literally shocked.
The loss did not stop there, they collected 4500 INR additional for paying the local union people with assurance that in case of no one come to demand money, it will be refunded back to us within 10 days. Luckily no union people came that day but even after two months it was never returned to us in spite of several calls, emails and reminders. Now no one responds.
If someone thinks the great experience stops here, hold on! The truck which is supposed to reach in two days, came only after 5 days, not sure what happened, the truck was not the one where the items were loaded. On the day of unloading, again 5 labourers came without any supervisor. They unloaded everything in an hour using lift and then started demanding 1000 each(5000 INR), we tried reaching Agarwal, no one picked up including the point of contact assigned. Finally the gang moved out only after forcefully collecting 2500 INR from us.
In addition to paying hefty amount for their brand, what we received is an unprofessional & unethical service, fraudulently and forcefully collecting and causing loss to 12, 000 INR additional. Again it is not just the money that is lost but the trust on people, brand and more.
Till today there is no response to the complaint launched with them or the support ticket raised over email even after months. We relocate frequently across states, will never ever use the service from such unprofessional and fraudulent companies.
Establishing a brand and business is hard, seems it is a curse that most of the business and people in this country shamelessly lacks ethics, professional qualities and even basic honesty.
