I own an Acer 5740 laptop model and I am using this from past 15 Months.
So far so good. Never hangs and processor speed is also very good.
Configuration
Core i3 Processor
3 GB RAM
320 GB Hard disk.
15.6' Screen
If you are a kind of user and doesn't like to play high definition 3D games then this system is for you. You can play HD movies on this laptop without any interruptions. Sound quality is also very good.
It has got num pad on the keypad so it feels like the conventional keyboard.
The biggest problem with this system is lack of a graphic card. As I love to play high definition games which I can not play this system but as I said if you are a standard user then this thing wouldn't mind you a lot. Battery life is okay till date. No issue with that. Screen resolution is also very good. No problem with the hardware so fare.
It has got 4 USB ports which is an advantage over other laptops which have max 3 USB Ports. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi is now-a-days common in all the systems.
Its processor doesn't get heated up fast as it has a very good inbuilt cooling system which is a great advantage. Integrated webcam gives a nice picture quality while in video chats.
This system gives best performance when used on Win7 but its performance degrades a bit while on XP so I'll not recommend XP on this system. Multiple OS can be used easily. I've both Linux & Win 7 running on it.
Overall this is a nice product and I'll recommend it to all.
