Well actually I have 3 of these in different color one red, black and my own silver.
lets quickly talk specs:
CPU: Intel Pentium Quadcore N3530/3540 2.16 GHz overclocked upto 2.58GHz, L1 cache 56 KB per core, L2 512KB per core.
RAM: 2GB DDR3L SDRAM standard in India for price cutting(i added 2GB more thus have total 4GB)
HDD: 500GB in India(1 TB standard else were)
Gpu: Intel HD baytrail with shared memory
Display: LED backlight 15.6 inch 1366x768(HD) 16:9
since a entry level laptop its obvious to suppose it has bad fit and finish but no that where you are mistaken it got the looks from laptops costing around double to triple of its price and is certainly a looker in a contemporary way. As It got its outside look and body casing from its flag ship models it also comes in various colors red(brushed metal finish), black(fake matt finish), silver(brush metal finish), sapphire blue(brush metal finish).
I find myself red and silver more outstanding but still its personal perspective again over here.
I added 2GB DDR3L sdram which was a hectic task as u will have to open whole casing to install only one ram since it has no windows at bottom for it, to provide it a uni-body shell design.
Upgraded to Win 10 from windows 8.1 and its blazzing fast truly. It can hande any day to day work thrown at it easily and even manages to run adobe photoshop and other graphic hogging softwares easily, Since the memory from ram is shared with graphic card I would advice to go with atleast 6GB if you perform graphic intense tasks more often.
But its a laptop for home and office users and would be a true companion for students as it can run everything fluidly with its N3530/3540 processor.
Since it got Baytrail intel HD graphics it can run easily demanding games from 2012 era(mid and lower setting) and less demanding games till this date easily.
Best part of the laptop is it battery(6-7hrs backup even after 1 year) yup thats where it really make a difference if you have n3540 model battery backup would be a little better by sacrificing a bit in graphics. U can watch two bollywood movies back to back with still 10% charge left on it.(with half brightness and on laptop speakers)
Touch-pad is button less similar seen on macbooks(yes I told you its a looker) and touchpad is to responsive and very handy to use but takes a little getting used to after switching from traditional touchpads.
Got decent skype certified camera for video chats thus provide better experince in color tone and contrast with HD quality
Since I bought it last year with windows 8.1 on it it lagged and frozed alot but it all was gone when upgraded to win 10 and really it changed the experince totally, the laptop is snappier and lot faster even graphics quality improved alot it made games which used to run in lower setting on win 8.1 much faster even with mid setting on Win10 so, definitely upgrade to windows 10. Since Intel 4 gen processors outshine themselves in it.
