It has been a while now that I posted a review eh? I missed it myself. So here is my tribute to an item which I recommend to everyone.
Acer Laptops.
I bought my first netbook, the small Acer Aspire, I basically brought it to make it easy to carry around so that I can do a lot of writing and also because I did not have the money to buy a big laptop and this fit my budget of 15000/- . Now, this is something that I did around 4 years back. I still have that net book, neatly connected to a flat screen monitor and a wire less keyboard and mouse and works as a desktop for my family.
Why did I do that? Because this thing just would not give up. I finally got bored of it and went and bought another laptop, another Acer Laptop. Now as always, I am not going to fall into the technical specifications as I am a nerd with most of it and you will end up checking that based on your use. I am going to tell you the users experiece of this machine. So here goes:
- This is the most durable laptop that I have seen. Both my netbook and my notebook have been royally molested by my dog Dexter. I still remember my first laptop, an HCL, which puked its ESC key on the very first day. When taken to the service center, I was told that I will have to cough up 3500 bucks to replace the entire keyboard. In that matter, I have become a big fan of Acer. **I have anger issues, very rarely, but when I do, you better be in some other country. On a certain bad day, I got frustrated enough to vent out on something and, in my hand, was my 8 month old Acer Laptop. And trust me, I LITERALLY banged in on the ground... NOT drop it, but BANGED it on the ground.
It did stop working after that. I called up the service center and hoped that a warranty cover would take care of it. It did. You know why? Because the only thing that happened as a result of my banging was that the hard drive crashed and was replaced under warranty. This deserves a solid 6 out of 5 stars.*
It is loaded with features and a very good battery life. My laptop comes with Dolby Sound, a very comfy keyboard and a lot of support for games, movies and music. I am a professional DJ and I play all my gigs by connecting my controller to this laptop on my shows. I also do a lot of creative stuff and photography and this laptop is wonderful with Photoshop and other such softwares.
It looks good and comes at a price which will not cut a hole in your pocket.
It is upgradable to a certain level but that is not required as it is already a top of the class machine. Now, I have just chosen a random model number as I do not know the model number of my laptop. But this is basically a review of Acer as a company and all of its products, not just one.
Well, there are a lot other features which are of some use to everyone. I use it for a lot of writing, playing games, surfing the internet and connecting it to my TV via HDMI and watching a lot of movies. It is my home theatre.
So the next time when you want to buy a laptop and are confused which one to go for... your confusion stops here. :-D
