Pathetic Service for Exclusive Member ABP Weddings

ABP Weddings, is an incompetent matrimonial site and completely cheating their clients. At the time of the sell, they are committing to a host of services which then suddenly gets reduced post-payment and that too is also not serviced properly. On escalation, one will get calls from multiple people with absolutely no action taken to recourse I had subscribed to Assisted Service(ABP Exclusive 180) for six months for my daughter and receipt for the same was issued on Jan 19th, 2020 by ABP Weddings.


The Salesperson #Himadri_Halder,(a complete cheat) had committed to exclusive services and contacts being established with the grooms' side for this package vis-à-vis the cheaper self-service packages.


The mailer I was sent from ABP Wedding also committed to


• Personalized service ensuring a hassle-free search


• Specialized help on searching the most accurate match


• Benefit of customized matchmaking


Once the payment was made, it took about 6 calls before m relationship adviser #Goldie_Walia was assigned to me.


On the first call, she informed me that her responsibility was restricted to providing 3 to 4 profiles per week to me in line with my selection criteria. Also, she would provide me the feedback from the groom’s side for the profiles being shortlisted by me. Establishing contact with Grooms was apparently incidental and not a commitment from ABP Weddings under the package.


I thought I could do this in the much cheaper self-service package too


This was completely different from what #Himadri_Halder had sold to me. When I tried to reach him after the selling process was concluded, he refused to pick my calls.


Post that, I would receive profiles and Feedback when I chased her and not proactively or regularly. The numbers per week varied from 2 to 4.


Feedback on screened profiles again would be sent after chasing. The feedback would be mostly comments such as “Rejected or Phone not reachable or Phone no incorrect or groom side asked to call back later”. No reasons for rejection were also provided.


After a month of inaction, and absolutely no connection established with any groom’s side, when I raised an issue on the service level, I was contacted by # Sudipta_Chakraborty who explained to me that as per the committed service level, excellent service was being provided and I should not expect any further from them.


When I insisted that I was not happy, one #Sharmistha called me and she gave me a patient hearing and told me that they are the experts and would take corrective action and I should expect a much better level of service going forward.


While she has been responsive and polite, there was absolutely no change in the situation except #Goldie_Walia suggesting I go for a higher package, of course by paying another 15K or so to get a better outcome.


After waiting for another month and a half when there was absolutely no change, forget improvement in the service, I raised the issue again with #Sharmistha and I received a call from #Abdul_Rouf, who said he was the Quality Manager for ABP Wedding and asked me to explain my issue.


When I explained my issue and told him that in 3 months, I have just been connected to one groom’s family, that too which did not proceed, he agreed that the service level indeed needed some improvement and apologized for the poor service thus far.


He also committed to taking required action to ensure that going forward, I will receive excellent service and that I will not have any reason to complain.


Since then, 2 weeks have passed and the service level has deteriorated instead of improving. The last set of profiles I received was on April 14th.


Now, #Abdul_Rouf has stopped responding to my emails.


I am sorry to say, being a Bengali who has grown up on Anandabazar Patrika, I had high hopes on ABP Weddings, but now realize that it was a mistake and I should have gone to other established and more professional matrimonial sites.


I will NOT recommend ABP Weddings to anyone who wishes to see their children married as it is incompetent to provide professional service.
