Recently painted my home in Pune using their services.
Their sales associate was very knowledgeable and that convinced me of going with their services. That's when the good part ended.
Assigned workers were very junior and I highlighted several issues right on the second day of their work.
1) Inadequate sanding of existing paint
2) Adulteration is usage of quality putty
3) Absolutely shoddy and sometimes zero landing on the putty
4) They also mix the product and add water by gut feel. No measurements - just like a roadside contractor would do.
5) They use cheap quality rollers even for the most expensive of paints.
6) Do not follow paint manufacturer's guidelines on painting systems. Just do it on their whims and mood - do not give adequate time for curing of various layers
7) Supervisor's job is to come and click pictures and upload on WhatsApp group. Zero effectiveness.
8) They will just keep assuring you that work will happen good quality - don't judge so soon. By that time you are exhausted with their third class work and feel like they should just leave your home.
9) Post paint up cleaning was done in 25 minutes for a 3BHK. you can imagine the quality of work
10) You can give them the best of feedback early hoping they will take care of it - but don't worry, they will NOT. They will still do the same mistake.
11) They messed up several of the grooves in my home despite warning that it should be protected.
12) I also had a word with the company's founder during the work highlighting my concerns. But nada, no effect. Their staff is not scared of the management and encourages you to contact him for any issues - that's the level of seriousness
13) All the issues you highlight to them, you only will need to track them. They will NOT. hardly seen them maintain a book or anything to track the issues/
14) Wait, there's more - they will apply all treatment to dusty walls only. No wiping of walls or anything. so, after sanding - apply putty to dusty wall, After sanding of putty, apply primer also to dusty wall. After primer dries, they will apply paint even if the wall is dusty from other reasons. They did not fix this issue despite highlighting multiple times
Long story short - Please avoid aapkapainter services. Hire a local trusted guy by word of mouth and seek following clarifications and arrangement.
1) Procure the material yourself and monitor the mixing of water in it.
2) Before hand, agree on the number of treatments to the wall
sanding by machine
quality of putty - cement or acrylic - 2 coats
quality of primer - regular or premium base coat
wiping of walls before every treatment makes sure they protect your grooves, skirting etc.
