Ambey vally is a beautiful property & also well maintained but not worth staying as the service is exceptionally bad.
Indian Tourism Industry is ranked as one of the top in the world & I have been lucky enough to experience it on various occasions. On various occasion, I had an opportunity to stay in Hotels with as low as Rs.1000/- per night & as expensive as Rs.14000/- per night & all my stays were amazing & memorable until I visited “Ambey Vally”, one of a very expensive hotels Rs.13, 824/- per night but service worse than a Rs500/- hotels.
I had been to Ambey vally on 8thAug2017 to celebrate a memory with my wife & the spending a day in Ambey vally was a gift from me to her. We checked in the hotel at 12:30PM & were allocated cottage No: 273B; at around 1:30PM we raised a complaint that A/C was not working, a maintenance team arrived and were in the room for about 1hr & around 2:30PM they said the A/C issue has been fixed. Due to the A/C issue our lunch was delayed we decided to check out the property & have lunch. Around 3:30PM we arrived at our room again & decided to have lunch at our room, at around 4:30PM we raised a complaint that A/C was not working. We waited 30 min but no one arrived, so after having our lunch we left to see the property. We arrived at the room again at 8:15PM & to our astonishment the room was open & the maintenance team was trying to fix the A/C issue, the maintenance team did not even take our consent before getting into the room. Me & my wife were in Ambey vally to celebrate a special memory, so we had plans to have dinner in some beautiful location but stayed back in the room & waited for the maintenance team to complete the repair. At around 9:00PM the lights of my room were turned off & we were left in a room without lights till 10:00PM. Frustrated at the service I called up the reception & asked them to resolve the issue ASAP. Later at 10:15PM we were offered another room, so me & my wife spent 30min in packing & waited for the service team to help us shift to another room. So finally, after spending more than 10hrs in non A/c room at 11:00PM we were shifted to a new room. Our celebration plans for a dinner at some beautiful location was ruined. We decided to stay in the room & watch some movie on the TV & when we switched on the TV to our astonishment the setup box was not working, I raised a complain regarding the same around 11:30PM but no one bothered to come resolve the issue, so we had to watch a movie on laptop. Since it was late had to order a “Club Sandwich” & had to enjoy the Sandwich as dinner in our room(celebration plans for a dinner at some beautiful location was ruined).
Our celebration was ruined & frustrated with the service and During the checkout at 10:30AM on 9Aug2017 I confronted the “Duty In charge(Mr Sandeep Shinde)” about the pathetic service & ask him for a refund & refused to pay the outstanding & the only sentence that Mr Sandeep Shinde repeated again & again was “We are Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you & we hope you provide us another chance to serve you better next time & as a compensation we can provide you a late checkout”. Asking for a late check out when we have already checked out.
To summarize the property is good but I have never encountered such a pathetic service by any hotel & specially when I’m paying such a huge amount.
Many may believe this is a fake review hence attaching the tax invoice as well. I had also raised this issue in the Complaint Register expecting the issue to be escalated to higher management, but have not received any response from them either & I believe the response will the same as Mr Sandeep Shinde “We are Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you & we hope you provide us another chance to serve you better next time & as a compensation we can provide you a late checkout”
