Some good stories are turned into very bad presentations. Aa Dekhen Zara is a perfect example of such type. The film has been treated very badly in terms of screenplay while it was having a great plus of a great story, Aa Dekhen Zara completely fails to impress.
Nonetheless, the film looks like a Hollywood film, the presentation does not even suits Bollywood especially in the second half. What torchers the film is only screenplay. A curiously awaited film can turn into bad treatments, which is in case of Aa Dekhen Zara.
Ray(Neil Nitin Mukesh) is a photographer and has a very dull life until he finds a camera given by his Grandfather which can see the future and his life suddenly changes. But now Ray has to face the evil or dark side of the power of the camera. Between, he falls in love with Simi(Bipasha Basu) and both together fight against the dark side.
Now lets go straight to the point. Aa Dekhen Zara has good first half but it is the second half which tapers and dumps down very much. The second half is very much important but it slips from the track and the film also starts becoming more confusing. The main reason is again screenplay or presentation, which is taken so lightly in the second half that it brings down everything in the film. ADZ makes you feel at the end to be more better and does not lives upto your expectations and finds something missing.
Neil Nitin Mukesh again impresses with his acting after his debut film. He delievers a perfomance that you like to watch again and again. But if the film is boring, what is the use? Though he tries his best, every part in the film is interrelated and so he is.
Bipasha Basu excels in most of the scenes but fails in the second half to give a good role. She is not best but alright.Dev Patel is first-class and plays a killer-role.Sophie Chaudhary hasn't much role to offer. Others are okay. Technically, it is shining. Art Direction, Cinematography, Soundtrack excellent. The action scenes are worth a watch. But Jehangir Surti fails in his debut directorial. He is responsible for the bad screenplay. Improvment should be a lot.
*Overall
Overall, Aa Dekhen Zara has a Hollywoodish skin but a bad inside part could make it a magical film but it dies due to its heart-attack or Screenplay attack . It lacks th confidence to deliever what we expect but it fails. Do not waste time for it, Disappointment. Rating:12
